| Bio | George Yeatman is a graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and University in Winchester, VA with a major in piano and a minor in voice. His graduate studies are in music and theater at the University of Richmond. He and taught music and drama in the public schools in Lancaster County for seven years. He became choir director here at Grace Church in 1972 until he retired in 2002, but returned to that position in 2008. He is a member of Grace Church where he serves as music director and is on the organ committee. Licensed as a real estate agent in 1980, a real estate broker in 1985 and a licensed real estate instructor in 1990, George has been selling property in the Northern Neck and Middle peninsula for the past 30 years. George is very active in community life. He has served on the local real estate board in many capacities and is presently serving on the ethics and standards committee for the Northern Neck Association of Realtors. In the past, George has been president of the Lancaster Players for 2 terms, director of children’s and adult theater and directed many musical productions (both for the Players and the Foundation for the Arts). He has conducted many community choirs and a local Madrigal group he founded. George has three outstanding daughters and 5 grandchildren. |
